Donates to the Uptown Consortium

CINCINNATI -The Cincinnati Tri-State Chapter of ASIS International announced their support of Uptown Consortium by presenting the non-profit group with a check for $1,000.

ASIS International is an organization dedicated to increasing the effectiveness and productivity of security management. The donation will provide funding to support a camera surveillance system for Uptown's business districts.

“ASIS is proud to support community non-profit agencies with their security improvement projects,” said Ron Morris, ASIS International Cincinnati TriState Chapter Chairman.

“Support from organizations like ASIS International helps us continue our efforts of revitalizing the Uptown area,” said Tony Brown, President and CEO of the Uptown Consortium. “Safety is one of our key initiatives and this donation will help us reach our goals.”

The Uptown Consortium is a non-profit community development corporation dedicated to the human, social, economic and physical improvement of Uptown Cincinnati. The organization was formed by the chief executive officers of Uptown’s largest employers and the area’s leading tourist attraction: Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden, The Health Alliance of Greater Cincinnati (The Christ Hospital and University Hospital), TriHealth, Inc. (Good Samaritan Hospital) and University of Cincinnati. The consortium’s areas of focus are public safety, transportation, housing, economic development and integrated social services for neighborhood residents.
