CINCINNATI – The Uptown Consortium today announced that its President and CEO, Tony T. Brown, is one of three community development finance leaders recently named to the Board of Trustees for the Community Reinvestment Fund, USA (CRF), a nonprofit organization that connects community development lenders with the capital resources of Wall Street.

“Tony Brown brings a wealth of community development finance experience to CRF,” said Frank Altman, president and CEO of CRF. “His expertise will greatly benefit our organization, and I look forward to working with him to continue to fulfill our mission in the years ahead.”

Brown brings to CRF a distinctive record of achievement as a banker and community finance leader. A 25-year veteran of the banking industry with a keen knowledge of Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) compliance, Brown also serves on the Federal Reserve Board of Governor’s Consumer Advisory Council, the Urban League of Greater Cincinnati and the national New Markets Tax Credit Association.

The CRF Board of Trustees provides strategic leadership and policy oversight for the nonprofit organization. Each new member was elected to a three-year term, beginning Jan. 1, 2007.
