After working with residents, Cincy Stories celebrated the opening of an interactive, multimedia storytelling gallery in Avondale on Friday, June 22.
Through monthly live storytelling events, short documentary videos and community engagement work, Cincy Stories hopes to build and strengthen listening, understanding and empathy within the community.
The gallery—a space that is considered a mix between a living room, art gallery and coffee shop—offered stories from Avondale residents through various media and attendees were encouraged to share their own experiences in a story booth. It also hosted videos guests could watch about Gabriel’s Place, Nanny’s Daycare and other residents at Pitch for Peace.
