With 1,000 businesses spanning 276 industries, Uptown is a regional employment powerhouse, with 46,000 residents and 75,000 workers, generating over $3 billion in economic impact annually. Over the past 20 years, UCI's investments in diverse projects, such as mixed-use development, office spaces, housing, retail and healthcare, have yielded billions in Uptown neighborhood investments. Our progress to date is just the beginning of a transformative journey that anticipates decades of growth. Nearly one million square feet of new development is either planned or under construction, poised to draw an estimated one billion dollars in future investments. With upcoming NMTC announcements and development efforts moving forward, 2024 will take us into a new decade of progress.
