Uptown’s Story, Part I: 20 Years of Transformation

Two decades ago this year, a coalition of individuals, including key stakeholders from Uptown Cincinnati’s major employers, local officials and community leaders, established the Uptown Consortium, Inc. (UCI). Their collective vision fueled a mission to stimulate economic growth across Uptown and its five neighborhoods.

After 20 years, Part I of this story is complete, and UCI is proud to present its highlights it in a booklet titled “Uptown Cincinnati: Twenty Years of Transformation.” This timely publication provides essential context for Part II of Uptown’s evolving narrative, set to unfold in the years ahead.

“Thank you to the UCI Board of Directors and the UCI staff for your dedication to UCI’s mission and vision for Uptown Cincinnati. While the booklet offers a comprehensive overview, it does not encompass every program and project that we have collectively accomplished. Uptown today is a testament to the dedication of every institution, community member and stakeholder who has contributed to its evolution,” said Beth Robinson.

Robinson has led UCI for the past fourteen years and is an accomplished leader. She announced her decision in May to step down from her position at the end of July 2024.
