November 26 is Small Business Saturday, and it’s an excellent time to get out and support the small shops, restaurants and businesses in your community. To celebrate, Uptown Consortium spent a day with unique and diverse small businesses in the five neighborhoods of Uptown and created a video about their stories and experiences.
“Small businesses are the heart of Uptown, and we want to bring awareness to them in any way we can,” said Brooke Rapp, Director of Community Development at UCI. “We hope this video will help connect old and new customers with Uptown’s business districts and make Small Business Saturday—and every other day of the year—a success.”
From a bookstore with thousands of selections to a unique hair salon with rock and roll styles, a coffee shop in a century-old building, a restaurant with a menu dedicated to cereal, and “Gift in Clifton,” a holiday gift bag that supports many Gaslight businesses—Uptown businesses have something for everyone.
